Azalea Encore “Autumn Fire”

March 5, 2018

Azalea Encore 'Autumn Fire'

Azalea Encore ‘Autumn Fire’

Azalea Encore ‘Autumn Fire’ is a dwarf azalea that averages 2.5’ high and spreads to 3’. It’s red blooms appear in Spring, Summer and Fall and it has a purple bronze winter foliage.

Planting Tips

It should be planted in full sun to light shade in a well-drained acidic soil. Place it so it will get 4 to 6 hours direct sun for best blooming.

Autumn Fire can be planted in the ground or in pots for the deck or patio. I like to use 12”to 14” clay azalea pots if I am not planting them in the ground so I can easily move them around on my patio or along walkways, etc. If red is not your color there are numerous Encore Azaleas available that bloom in a variety of colors.
